I saw so many great reviews about this book that I had to read it. I am sad that I didn’t enjoy it as much as others did. This story feels rushed. The sex, the dialogue, the relationship. I skipped through most of the sex because it seemed like sex between two college students, pretending to be into kink. I got really tired of Damien saying: “oh baby”! I was also bothered by Nikki wanting to pose for a nude painting (to showcase the scars on her thighs), but wouldn’t have sex with Damien (initially) because he would see her scars!!! WTH. I was afraid of this series but loved it! My trigger is Dom/submissive! Bedroom "control" should be mutual, open to both parties. The kneeling, "yes master" bull is not okay with me! I'm all for keeping the magic(and wet panties alive), because experimenting and risk is what keeps a couple intrigued and exciting. Knowing your partner creates trust and comfort, but also mystery! Sexual adventures based on trust and mutual control is cathartic!Damien and Nikki share passion and arousal that's trusting, loving and mutually exciting! I loved it!
